The IT Business Analyst II is responsible for using appropriate methods to plan, organize, conduct all aspects of Business Needs Assessment, most commonly referred to as Business Requirements for the development of manual or automated systems and procedures that are cost effective, creative and that meet user s needs. The IT Business Analyst II plays a durable role throughout the Development Life cycle that includes gathering and documenting business requirements, creating use case scenarios, modeling business process and participating in the overall planning that will ensure the system delivered meets the needs of the business.
How you will make an impact:
    • Responsible for assisting with all aspects of enrollment and billing application integration into operations including requirements analysis, quality assurance & testing, production support, validations and process development
    • Responsible for analyzing and document detailed business requirements per business needs
    • Assess enhancement requests received for existing applications
    • Coordinate requirements elaboration sessions with all stakeholders
    • Discuss the requirements with the development team, and determine possible solutions, per constraints, document deliverables and issues
    • Complete segment testing of all business requirements, work with the testers to ensure various scenarios are covered
    • Represent Delta Dental at various external forums and meeting discussions, so be speak clearly of issues, solutions and industry trends
    • Provide UAT support during Business Testing and validation support
    • Provide Production support to the business, on an ongoing basis for the selected applications
What we look for:
    • Familiarity with EDI formats (834, 820, etc.) is a must
    • Experience working as part of a Agile Scrum team (SAFe approach preferred)
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills
    • Excellent organizational & time management skills
    • Knowledge of Project Management methodology & Agile Software engineering principles preferred
    • Preferred experience with Oracle CC&B (Customer Care and Billing) application
    • Extensive experience in Black Box Testing applications
    • Ability to learn quickly and train others
    • Able to multi-task between various initiatives
    • Basic knowledge of SQL ability to run queries using SQL tools against Oracle or SQL Server is a plus
    • Experience in MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio Excel/Word, etc. Edifecs, Stylus Studio or other EDI tools
    • Atlassian JIRA, Confluence and/or other IT Service Management tools
