Our client is creating high performance precision machines able to print and label at high speed onto consumer goods. The Senior Software Engineer will be joining a global leader in product identification, that provides innovative coding and marking solutions that helps customers ensure product safety and improve their productivity. The successful Senior Software Engineer will be able to interpret customer specifications and provide technical solutions to engineering problems.

Key responsibilities for the Senior Software Engineer:

• Analyse customer specifications and offer technical resolutions to engineering challenges.
• The Senior Software Engineer will devise designs and technical strategies for emerging technologies within the R&D Technology division.
• Develop, deploy, and sustain C++ software for both new and existing products.
• The Senior Software Engineer will work closely with electronic, mechanical, and fellow software engineers, overseeing technical reviews, conducting feasibility studies, and participating in project evaluations as needed.

Key skills for the Senior Software Engineer:

• Proficiency in C++, particularly for Microprocessor (Embedded) applications.
• Substantial experience in software development for Windows, WinCE, or Real Time operating systems (RTOS).
• Understanding of Real Time and concurrent principles, with an awareness of networked devices, distributed processes, and packet-based protocols.
• Preferably, experience in electronics control and interfacing with motors, sensors, etc.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems is advantageous.
